FOUR New Laws Added to Kwara State



Gov. AbdulFatah Ahmed of Kwara has signed four Bills into law, with a pledge to further improve wellbeing of residents of the state in the years ahead.

Dr Muideen Akorede, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, made this known in a statement in Ilorin on Sunday.

The new laws, according to the statement are:
  • The N56.7billion Supplementary Appropriation Law 2013
  • Kwara State Office of the Public Defender (Amendment) Law 2013.
  • Kwara State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency (Amendment) Law 2013
  • Kwara State Citizen’s Mediation and Conciliation Centre (Amendment) Law 2013.
It said the appropriation law was to enable the State Government to fund programmes and projects not anticipated in the 2013 appropriation bill but deemed necessary in view of current exigencies.
