Barcelona defender Carles Puyol has admitted that 2013 was a difficult year for him as unrelenting injury problems kept him out of action.
The 35-year-old has made only three appearances in La Liga so far this term due to injury after previously missing the final months of the 2012-13 campaign.
And the Barca skipper says his spell on the sidelines was quite tough for him.
Puyol stated on his official Twitter account.
"2013 has been a very tough year in which I’ve learned a lot and found out who my real friends are,"
"Happy and healthy 2014!"
