Family of five killed in Jos
Unknown gunmen struck again in Heipang, Barkin Ladi local government of Plateau state and wiped out an entire family of five in a pre-dawn attack.
The family was asleep when the gunmen struck at about 12.30am on Tuesday.
Residents said the gunmen came in their numbers and were armed with guns and machetes. They shot sporadically to scare residents.
A member of the village, Abel Abok said, “We were woken up with gun shots, but we were afraid to come out because the gun shots were sporadic. We heard members of the family shouting and calling for help but we were afraid to come out.
“When we later came out the gunmen had left. We discovered they have killed all these people.”
The sole administrator of Barkin Ladi local government, Habila Dung, confirmed the attack.
